Workforce Housing Solutions for Los Angeles

Real estate industry professionals will convene to discuss providing mixed-income housing in Los Angeles on December 5th. LABC and ULI Los Angeles will bring together their membership to assess the realities of the housing market and discuss the feasibility levels for affordable housing production in residential developments in Los Angeles. Leaders in real estate development will debate, dissect and promote strategies to build the range of housing Los Angeles needs.

The 2008 Sustainability Summit and pre-summit VIP reception is being convened at a time when Los Angeles’ pioneering policies have positioned the city to be the largest marketplace for green technology. This event will help map out synergistic strategies between private and public sectors to foster a local green economy. The keynote address will be given by The Honorable Bill Lockyer, Treasurer of the State of California; The Honorable Antonio Villaraigosa, Mayor of Los Angeles and with invited and feature guests including The Honorable Wendy Gruel, President Pro Tempore of the Los Angeles City Council; Dale Bonner, Secretary of the Business, Transportation, and Housing Agency of the State of California; Gina Marie Lindsey, Executive Director of Los Angeles World Airports; David Nahai, General Manager of LADWP; Franco Bianchi, President and CEO of Haworth; David L. Pogue, National Director of Sustainability for CBRE; Cecilia Estolano, CEO Kevin Ratner, President of Forest City Residential West; and Scott Lyle, First Vice President of Arden Realty as the Master of Ceremonies. Other speakers will include a wide array of prominent industry leaders and financial experts in the area of sustainability.
