With the release of Mayor Garcetti’s Green New Deal pLAn, Los Angeles has set goals for all new buildings to be net zero carbon by 2030 and for 100 percent of buildings to be net zero carbon by 2050. Achieving this goal will take the unified effort of city departments, the utility, and building owners.

Net Zero Carbon Buildings Summer Roundtable Series: California’s Plan to Achieve Net Zero Carbon by 2030

This roundtable is the first of our two-event series convenings as an opportunity to talk with a key legislator and regulator about the practical ability to design, construct, renovate and operate carbon neutral buildings.

An intimate gathering for summit speakers, panelists and LABC leadership. The LABC honored Deborah Flint CEO, Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) and Kilroy Realty. Featured Speakers included State Assemblymember Henry Stern. Thanks to this year’s event host, LABC Founding and Vice Chair, Richard Ziman.

The LABC participated in ACCESS DC, the region’s largest annual advocacy trip. The LABC hosted one of the premier events, a lunch featuring senior White House correspondent for Bloomberg News and CNN political analyst Margaret Talev.
Pacoima Solar Workshop
January 24, 2019
The LABC hosted a workshop in partnership with Councilwoman Monica Rodriguez and LADWP focused on teaching property owners in Pacoima and the Sun Valley about the benefits of the Feed-in-Tariff program.
Gubernatorial Candidate Series

In the run up to the 2018 gubernatorial election, the LABC hosted then candidates Gavin Newsom, Antonio Villaraigosa and John Chiang at three separate forums to discuss their vision for the Golden State.
