On Friday, June 23, the LABC held a solar workshop at Pacoima City Hall in partnership with California State Assemblymember Luz Rivas, Wells Fargo, the Los Angeles Department of Water & Power (LADWP), and Pacoima Beautiful to help inform property owners and businesses about the numerous solar programs available to them through LADWP.
The event was attended by roughly 40 local property owners, businesses, chambers, and community members who were interested to learn how to create revenue for their properties while driving the City toward its goal of providing 100% renewable energy by 2035. LABC members and solar providers Valta Energy, PCS Energy, and GreenQuest were on-site to provide information about their specific offerings and to highlight many of the projects they have completed for LADWP customers.
Jack Olree, VP at Wells Fargo spoke to the commitment of the Wells Fargo Foundation to environmental sustainability. State Assemblymember Luz Rivas, a Pacoima local, spoke about the importance of this program and other environmental initiatives in the area:
Ronak Chikhalya, LADWP’s FiT Manager also highlighted LADWP’s local solar portfolio and successful DER programs. Watch a clip below:
