LABC Statement on Passage of Measure A

Nov 7, 2024

Yesterday, voters supported historic investments to address the region’s severe housing and homelessness crises by passing Measure A, a measure championed by the L.A. Business Council.

Funding from Measure A will provide crucial resources for new affordable housing while also attracting private capital and increasing investment in L.A. County. This funding will allow us to build needed housing and provide services for the most vulnerable among us.

The passage of Measure A is forecasted to create a $3.1 billion economic impact annually for our region, generating a 2.5x return to the county’s economy for every dollar invested. And, it will create 25,800 local jobs annually.

With the passage of Measure A, we are taking a crucial step forward towards sustainable, long-term solutions for housing in Los Angeles.
